The Surrogacy Process for Parents
When you’re ready to start on your path to parenthood, you’ll follow the below process:
Step 1: CONSULTATION
Start your journey to parenthood by booking a complimentary consultation. As you learn more about our surrogacy program and surrogates, we will also get to know you, your expectations, and your needs.
Step 4: PREPARING FOR PREGNANCY
We will get your surrogate medically prepared for additional testing and the embryo transfer. It is at this point that you will begin funding your ELMA expense account.
Step 2: ADMISSIONS
When you are ready to get started, you will sign a retainer agreement and pay a retainer fee, allowing us permission to start your surrogacy journey. This retainer can be done at any time, including during your initial consultation.
Step 5: DELIVERY OF THE BABY
As the pregnancy enters its second trimester, we will prepare you, your surrogate, and the hospital for the delivery of your child. We will be with you throughout the delivery process and beyond.
Step 3: SURROGATE MATCH
ELMA offers a match guarantee. Once you are matched with a surrogate, one of our staff members will facilitate a match meeting via video conference.
Step 6: POST BIRTH SERVICE
Once the baby is born, we'll help you with all the paperwork so that you can register your baby according to the law.
